M Chinnaswamy Stadium IPL Records Updated | From 2008-2024

M Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the most famous cricket grounds in India. It is a venue that is a joy for batters as legendary batters Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli have entertained the crowd with sumptuous batting in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The stadium, home to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has hosted two IPL finals – 2014 and 2016 – and holds the record for third highest team total in the IPL.

The first-ever IPL match was played at Chinnaswamy Stadium. The home side, RCB, faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a one-sided game. McCullum struck a thunderbolt 158* as KKR scored 222. In reply, RCB was bundled out for 82.

In the IPL history, only two players – Gayle and McCullum – have scored 150+ scores. Both those knocks came at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kohli and Gayle scored four and three centuries, respectively, at the venue. Meanwhile, McCullum, De Villiers, Wriddhiman Saha, Ajinkya Rahane, Quinton de Kock, and Shubman Gill have a three-figure score at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Unsurprisingly, no bowler has taken a five-wicket haul at the batting paradise in Bengaluru.
