Career Overview/ Highlight : Jasprit Bumrah IPL 2013 to 2024
Born in Ahmedabad, Jasprit Bumrah came into the spotlight while playing for the Mumbai Indians in the 2013 edition of the IPL. He was spotted by former India coach John Wright during a domestic game and was taken aback by his unorthodox action. However, after lukewarm performances in the first three years of the IPL, Bumrah was forgotten until his superb comeback on the domestic circuit in the 2015-16 season. He was picked by the Indian team for the Australia tour in 2016, and his IPL form also peaked. From 2016 onwards, Bumrah picked up 19 wickets on average per season.
Lasith Malinga had taken him under his wings in his initial years. As his international stature grew, he became the pace spearhead of Mumbai Indians in the subsequent years.
