With 109 catches, former Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina has taken the most catches in IPL. Be at the slips or backward point, Raina very rarely messes up the catching opportunities. The Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer, who has also played for Gujarat Lions, is the first player to reach the three-figure mark in catches.
Raina, who skipped IPL 2020 citing personal reasons, reached double-digits in catches in six of the 13 IPL seasons. In an interview with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Jonty Rhodes, regarded as the greatest fielder of all time, rated Raina as the no 1 fielder in world cricket in 2019. Former Mumbai Indians player Kieron Pollard is only the second player in IPL history to reach 100 in this category. He achieved this feat in the 2022 edition, his final season in the IPL. Kohli is seven catches away from joining Kieron Pollard as the second cricketer to reach 100 for a single franchise. Meanwhile, Rohit, Dhawan, and Ravindra Jadeja have played for more than one team in the IPL.
